GUEST ROOM:
The Care Center welcomes visitors -- both those just passing through as well as people who wish to stay and work with the children for a limited time. For this end, there is a guest room in the Care Center with two beds. Simple accommodations with wonderful people make this a deeply memorable part of one's visit to Kenya.

Guests are given bed and breakfast ($13.50/night) or $20 for room and board (all three meals). Visitors stay anywhere from one night to two months! People who come to volunteer at the orphanage spend time with the children helping them with their homework, their English, reading, assisting the staff, etc. Short term visitors are encouraged to spend time with the children, telling stories of where they're from, or just play ball or cards with the children.

Beds have mosquito nets. Hot water is heated each morning for a sponge bath.	Playing checkers.

VAN: A nine-passenger VAN is available for rent, both for long journeys starting at the Nairobi airport or shorter day-trips. Please be in touch with Friends of Kakamega for either the Guest Room or Van rentals.
